Symposium: Multidisciplinary Management of Workers with Complex Musculoskeletal Disorders

Saturday 7 March 2015 @ 8.15am to 12.30pm

WorkCover WA is pleased to promote this symposium to medical and allied health clinicians delivering health services to injured workers in Western Australia (WA).

Musculoskeletal injuries are the most common work-related injury in WA’s scheme. These types of injuries often involve slow recovery and are susceptible to recurrence. Intervening early with evidence-based approaches to injury management is critical to reducing the human and economic cost on injured workers and the workers’ compensation scheme.

Join a group of industry leading professionals across occupational medicine, pain medicine, physiotherapy, injury management and claims management to hear their perspectives on challenges and discuss opportunities to lead improvements.

The morning will include:

  • case examples and panel discussions
  • industry-wide multidisciplinary interaction including clinical and non-clinical stakeholders
  • identification of priorities for future directions in this area

To register for this event, email Sharon.Miller@curtin.edu.au. Registrations close 27 February 2015.
