Official release of the Insurance Brokers Principles and Standards of Practice
Today WorkCover WA will officially release the Insurance Brokers Principles and Standards of Practice (Principles and Standards) during an information session for 120 industry professionals.
The Principles and Standards provide a cohesive set of expectations to support insurance brokers in the performance of their functions. They provide clear direction and assistance for developing policies and practices which optimise the workers compensation experience for employers and workers.
The Principles and Standards were developed in consultation with an industry reference group consisting of members from across the scheme. We appreciate the time and thoughtful consideration the reference group members dedicated to developing this product.
The Principles and Standards come into effect on 1 July 2024 and can be accessed here.
Information Sessions
We are offering targeted information sessions for insurance brokers throughout February 2024 to explore the Principles and Standards in more detail.
WorkCover WA will deliver information sessions at your office for groups of five or more people. To book a session, please click here to complete the booking form. You will be contacted to confirm the date, time and logistics.
