Utilising an insurance broker
It may be beneficial to use an insurance broker to negotiate a workers’ compensation policy with an insurer on your behalf.

Insurance brokers don’t have a legislated role in the Act. However, their operations are guided by an Insurance Brokers’ Code of Practice which was developed collaboratively by WorkCover WA and the National Insurance Brokers Association (NIBA) to provide clear guidelines for brokers operating within the workers’ compensation system. To view a PDF of the Insurance Brokers’ Code of Practice, see the Insurance brokers section.

NIBA also provide a service to assist people to find a NIBA qualified broker at www.needabroker.com.au.
