Registered agents

Any party at a hearing or conference before an arbitrator of the Dispute Resolution Directorate may be represented by a registered agent.

Registered agents are approved and regulated by WorkCover WA.

How to locate a registered agent

WorkCover WA keeps a register of persons approved as registered agents.

How to become a registered agent
To become a registered agent, WorkCover WA recommends you read How to Apply for Registration as an Agent, and you need to complete an Application for Registration form - both available via links to the right. The application should be filed at WorkCover WA together with all necessary supporting documentation. This form should also be used for your renewal as a registered agent every 12 months.

There are regulations that apply to registered agents contained within the Workers’ Compensation and Injury Management Regulations 1982 (as amended by the Workers’ Compensation and Injury Management Amendment Regulations (No.2) 2005).

PowerPoint Presentation
The Workers’ Compensation and Injury Management Act 1981 'Fundamentals of the Legislation' is a Powerpoint presentation that you can download and use.

The presentation provides you with information about how the workers’ compensation system works, the rights and responsibilities of the parties in the system and the most commonly applied provisions of the Act. Click on the Related Links section to your right to access the presentation.
