Costs Report

On 10 November 2011, the Workers' Compensation (Legal Practitioners and Registered Agents) Costs Report and Determination 2011 (PDF) was published in the Government Gazette.

The Costs Committee has retained a milestone-based approach in the development of the 2011 Costs Determination. The scale itself has been amended to reflect the separation of the conciliation and arbitration functions that will be undertaken by the Conciliation and Arbitration Services.

In arriving at the 2011 Costs Determination, the Costs Committee was mindful the Act is intended to promote the early settlement of issues and disputes by agreements and to discourage unnecessary delays, excessive attendances and excessive preparation of documentation.
