Title:
Practice Direction 2-2009 – Long Term Matters

Content:

On 18 November 2009, Commissioner McCann issued Practice Direction no.2/2009 (PDF), which relates to the identification and review of all disputes in the DRD that have been in progress for greater than 18 months without being resolved, or have been dormant for not less than 6 months (“long term matters”).

The Practice Direction, annexed standard orders and Long Term Matter Guidelines (PDF) explain how such long term matters will be programmed for final determination on a speedy and fair basis.

If you have any queries in relation to the procedure for the programming of these matters, please contact Mark Sputore on 9388 5555.
