WorkCover WA is pleased to announce the appointment of Mr Ian Williams to its Board.

Mr Williams brings to the Board a wealth of insurance industry experience and an extensive knowledge of workers' compensation having held a senior management positions in both Western Australia and Victoria during his 30 year insurance career.

"Ian Williams is a great acquisition to the WorkCover WA Board as we continue to ensure a sustainable workers' compensation system for employers and workers" said Mr Greg Joyce, Chairman.

Mr Williams replaces Mr Steve Burns who serviced on the Board for three years.

Mr Williams' three year term, as the member experienced in insurance matters, will commence from 1 August 2010.

The Chairman acknowledges Steve Burns for his participation on the Board, "Steve has made a significant contribution to the Western Australian workers' compensation system and the Board is very appreciative of the dedication and knowledge he brought to the Board."
