Commencing Tuesday 6th March, Susan Lloyd an experienced legal practitioner joined WorkCover WA as Director of the Dispute Resolution Directorate for a period of 6 months.

Su comes to WorkCover WA with a background in both the private and public sector.

As a legal practitioner, she has practised at the independent bar undertaking a wide variety of litigation in state and federal jurisdictions, and has been a senior lawyer at the Australian Government Solicitor.

Su is an experienced mediator and negotiator and has been an accredited mediator with the Institute of Arbitrators and Mediators since 2000.

In the public sector, Su has made contributions to various areas including the restructure and implementation of the Law Society’s Quality Practice Standard at Legal Aid and a review of the Public Sector Management Act and Regulations.

Previous to her career as a legal practitioner, Su was a teacher and higher education lecturer and has worked both in Australia and in the United Kingdom.
