New AMS designations including two interstate specialists

12 new approved medical specialists (AMS) were designated by WorkCover WA on 30 December 2008.

They cover a range of specialisations including Orthopaedic Surgery, Psychiatry, Occupational Medicine and Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery.

Importantly, two AMS' are now trained to provide assessments interstate, one in Victoria and one in New South Wales.

You can find a full list of approved medical specialists including those who are available interstate by conducting a search by name, specialisation or location on the AMS page of the WorkCover WA website.
