WorkCover WA’s Dispute Resolution Directorate (DRD) recently undertook a review of its internal procedures relating to the examination of Memoranda of Agreement (“MOA”) under section 76 of the Workers’ Compensation and Injury Management Act 1981. As a result, the processes were revised in relation to the Director’s role in the examination of MOA.

The Director DRD has published an Explanatory Memorandum to explain and clarify the revised MOA examination process with an aim to resolve some of the concerns and issues that have arisen.
