Title:
Insurance brokers’ key role in workers’ compensation

Content:

One of the key observations from last year’s review of the Workers’ Compensation and Injury Management Act 1981 was the important role played by insurance brokers.

The Review recommended that WorkCover WA engage with brokers through information, education and training.

In response, WorkCover WA is working towards an enhanced working relationship with brokers including providing information and training to assist brokers to provide more informed advice to their clients.

In November we are hosting a seminar for insurance brokers which has been accredited by National Insurance Brokers Association (NIBA). This first seminar is fully subscribed but if you would like to register your interest in upcoming seminars please email rsvp@workcover.wa.gov.au.

For more information about the insurance broker events check the Events Calendar or contact WorkCover WA on 9388 5502 or educationandinformation@workcover.wa.gov.au.
