IFAP launch new Injury Management courses

Content:

Following the success of IFAP's current suite of Injury Management courses, and in response to demand, two new courses are now available.

IFAP's first Advanced Injury Management course has been scheduled for 26-27 August. This two-day course will offer participants the opportunity to revisit and reinforce their knowledge of Workers' Compensation and Injury Management law previously dealt with at Injury Management Coordinator Course (IMCC) level and then learn more detailed aspects of the law not previously covered.

Case studies are provided during the learning process offering participants the opportunity to apply legal strategies to solve the problematic day to day issues that adversely affect the injury management process.

Day two of the course will cover injured worker non-compliance behavioural issues and concerns that also disrupt the injury management process. Specifically, how to identify those issues and concerns and what to do to control them. Early identification and control of behavioural issues and concerns can assist in preventing long duration claims. Case studies will again be used to reinforce the learning process.

A second course for Approved Vocational Rehabilitation Providers (AVRPs) will commence on September 2nd. This one-day course is designed to introduce the law of Workers' Compensation and Injury Management to AVRPs. The outline is attached.

For more information on these and other Injury Management courses offered by IFAP, please contact Rani Chandra.
