I am pleased to announce that the Dispute Resolution Directorate (DRD) will launch a Fast Track Pilot Program on 1 September 2009.

In response to stakeholder feedback, and in accordance with our aim to deliver speedy and fair dispute resolution services, DRD will pilot a new process for certain Part XI applications.

The objective of the pilot scheme is to enable a matter to be listed for expedited directions and conciliation before parties are required to file all the documents specified by Rules 58 and 61. On request to the Director, an application may be assigned to the Fast Track Pilot.

The Fast Track process is set out in the attached Practice Direction issued by the DRD Commissioner, Judge McCann. A template and standard directions will shortly be available for the assistance of practitioners.

A free information seminar on the Fast Track Pilot Program will be held on:
