Title:
Call for comments on draft Disability Access and Inclusion Plan 2011-2013

Content:

WorkCover WA is calling for public ideas and input as it prepares its Disability Access and Inclusion Plan 2011-2013 (Draft PDF - 320kb).

Comment from members of the public will help to ensure that services provided by WorkCover WA are accessible to people with disabilities. To ensure that people with disabilities have the same opportunity as other members of the community, WorkCover WA is looking for comment on how to improve access to:

  • services and events
  • buildings and other facilities
  • information – brochures and websites and available in alternate formats on request
  • quality service
  • complaint mechanisms
  • public consultations.

If you have had contact with WorkCover WA in person, via phone or email and have any comments as to how we can improve our services or facilities to assist people with disabilities, please let us know.

Under the Western Australian Disability Service Act, State Government Agencies are required to develop and implement a Disability Access and Inclusion Plan (DAIP). DAIP’s provide a planned and systematic approach to improve access for people with disabilities.

You can contact us using any of the following methods:

  • Mail:
    Bernard Underwood, Manager Human Resources
WorkCover WA, 2 Bedbrook Place, Shenton Park WA 6008
  • Phone: (08) 9388 5671
  • Fax: (08) 9388 5550
  • Email: Bernard.Underwood@workcover.wa.gov.au

We would appreciate any comments you have regarding access, barriers to access, or other ways to improve our services to people with disabilities.

Submissions to WorkCover WA close on Friday 25 March 2011, 4pm.
