The 2005/06 to 2008/09 edition of the Workers' Compensation in Western Australia Statistical Report is now available for download.

The report is produced annually and is part of a series of reports that provide information on claims, claims cost and the frequency of workplace injuries and diseases in Western Australia.

It provides an overview of workers' compensation issues, and information on the characteristics of lost-time workers' compensation claims. The information in this series of reports may be useful for human resource professionals, occupational safety and health practitioners, workers' compensation service providers and tertiary students.

The report is presented in two parts; Part A provides a summary of claim payments data, and Part B provides a summary of lost-time claims data. An executive summary is included at the beginning of the report.

The data used in this report is derived from workers' compensation claims lodged in accordance with the Workers' Compensation and Injury Management Act 1981 and represents a snapshot of the Western Australian workers' compensation system as 31 January 2010.
