Event date:
13/8/2009

Event title:
Workers Compensation and Injury Management Short Course for Employers

Event location:

Event time: 08:30AM - 01:30PM

Event description:

It is a legal requirement for all employer organisations in WA to have an Injury Management System. This Workers' Compensation and Injury Management Short Course for Employers is a one day course specifically designed for employers who wish to understand and meet their workers' compensation legal obligations.

Injury Management in the workplace is not only a legal obligation by also a win-win philosophical concept which, if implemented and adhered to, can provide many benefits to the employer and also the injured worker.

For the employer, some of the major benefits of committing to the injury management process are:

  •  A well managed injured worker, in most cases, can be advantageous in applying downward pressure on the workers' compensation premium.
  • An experienced and valued member of the workforce gets back to their full pre-injury duties sooner, rather than later.
  • Assists in the development of a positive workplace culture.

Employers will be provided with a well rounded educational experience in the workers' compensation and injury management legal process.

Two optional multiple choice self-assessments are provided at appropriate intervals during the course.

Participants will receive an attendance certificate on completion of the course.
