Conciliation Service

The primary role of the WorkCover WA Conciliation Service is to resolve workers' compensation disputes by agreement between parties, with the assistance of a Conciliation Officer.

Each party is given the opportunity to present their position and support it with evidence and other information. This may occur quickly and informally over the phone or face-to-face in a meeting or conference, that is conducted in private.

Most disputes are resolved at conciliation and parties are encouraged to resolve the dispute at any stage of the process. An application for Conciliation Form is lodged by an applicant. Applications can also be made online.

Legal representation is permitted. If issues remain unresolved after the completion of conciliation, there is the option to apply for arbitration. Apply for Arbitration (Form 150) (PDF - 180kb)
