WorkCover WA is increasing its client focus through a coordinated and systematic process of stakeholder engagement and participation.
We are developing and promoting a culture of consultation that will build trust and confidence with stakeholders in the scheme.
The purpose of engaging with our stakeholders is to gather information and perspectives that can be used to improve the operation of the scheme such as:
- Increasing the quality of policies and practices;
- Improving successful implementation of initiatives;
- Increasing the chances of voluntary compliance; and
- Increasing the scope for partnerships.
2008 Scheme Update Seminar
WorkCover WA’s second annual Scheme Update Seminar was held on 10 April 2008. Over 140 stakeholders attended, hearing the latest news on the health of the workers’ compensation scheme and details of WorkCover WA's Injury Management Campaign.

WorkCover WA Injury Management Conference
The Working together…a better future conference held on 16 and 17 October was attended by more than 300 delegates from across Australia who have overwhelmingly labelled it an enormous success.
Opened by the Hon Michelle Roberts, MLA, Minister for Employment Protection, WorkCover WA’s major state injury management conference brought together more than a dozen international, national and local speakers who imparted a wealth of knowledge during the two day event.
The conference also heard from numerous medical and legal professionals who offered practical advice and a variety of perspectives to facilitate and ensure the provision of sound injury management policies.

Feedback Forums As part of this process, several feedback forums were held throughout 2006 to ascertain the current relationship between WorkCover WA and various stakeholders and to develop plans for working together in the future.
Scheme Update SeminarWorkCover WA hosted the inaugural Scheme Update Seminar on 24 April 2007. The seminar was designed to provide our stakeholders with an update on the current health of the workers' compensation scheme and an insight into the Agency's current projects and key initatives.
